YOGA
Kids Yoga Crawlers to Walkers
Parents are encouraged to play and move with their little ones. We focus on promoting physical strength, body awareness, social interactions, and bonding with parents. The skills learned through playful moments are memorable and can be taken off the mat to manage daily stressors in a way that serves them. After plenty of movement and play, all our classes end with a final relaxation - dimmed lights, foot rubs, essential oils, and music to unite our minds, bodies and breath.
Mini-Movers 15-36 months Yoga
Focused primarily on the child, it is filled with plenty of opportunities to bond and support your child throughout. We target increasing body awareness, following simple instructions, taking turns, and creating opportunities to enhance language development. Mini-Movers are natural explorers and curious to their surroundings. Their attention spans are short and constantly moving, so our yoga activities meet them where they are. Our mats are a guide and a place to come back to throughout the class. The Mini-Movers class follows similar sequences from class-to-class to establish a familiar routine, which is valuable for their young minds. After plenty of movement and play, all our classes end with a final relaxation - dimmed lights, foot rubs, essential oils, and music to unite our minds, bodies and breath.
Kids Yoga 3-6 years old
Parents have the choice to participate in this class as we like to practice partner poses with parent/child to promote bonding, eye contact and social and emotional development. Our 3-6 year olds are naturally curious and full of questions - so we encourage their imagination and curiosity to enhance the activities we plan. We focus on following multi-level directions, waiting their turn, listening to each other’s ideas, working together while engaging in a variety of yoga sequences to move their bodies quickly, slow them down, and paying attention to how our bodies feel in various poses. After plenty of movement and play, all our classes end with a final relaxation - dimmed lights, foot rubs, essential oils, and music to unite our minds, bodies and breath.
Kids Yoga 7-12 years old
Focused on instilling mindfulness for our yogis to use on and off the mat. We encourage them to observe how their breath supports their bodies and their minds as they flow through sequences we create together. We integrate cooperative activities and interactive discussions with peers to build communication and listening skills. After plenty of movement and play, all our classes end with our final relaxation - dimmed lights, foot rubs, essential oils, and music to unite our minds, bodies and breath.
